Good nutrition is a start in helping kids grow smart. It is also needed in avoiding harmful diseases such as the Influenza AH1N1 virus and other harmful diseases. Eating nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, and milk is one way of nourishing the body.
Every year, we are celebrating the Nutrition Month every month of July. The theme for the 2009 Nutrition Month was "Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan, Lifestyle Diseases Iwasan". Our school held some activities or contests which is related to nutrition. One of those contests was the Food Festival which was held last July 13-17, 2009 during recess time . We, the Rizalians also joined that said activity.
Another was the Nutri-Jingle Composition which will be hold soon and we have planned that we will going to join.
during these events, joining them is a way of enhancing our skills in painting like the Mural Painting Contests, drawing like the Poster-
Making Contests, singing and dancing and also in cooking and selling goods. My only insight about this, the students were trying to do their very best just to win the contest and the students have enjoyed about those said activities.
