SCIENCE MONTH CELEBRATION WITH THE THEME: "ADAPTING TO DIVERSE SCIENCE CULTURE FOR DEVELOPMENT"

It's the start of BER months and it is also the start of Christmas season. In our school, September is the so called "Science Month".

The Science Month Celebration was conducted by the Science Club under the advisership of Mr. Rolly Raceles and Ms. Gay Marie Frando and it was launched after the flag ceremony last September 8, 2009.

There are many activities that were conducted. Last September 22, the Noise Barrage was done inside the school campus. This was participated by the Science classes and the first section of the regular class from all year levels. The objective of this activity was to preserve Mother Earth, our planet. At the same time, we had the Science Investigatory Project Congress and all the Rizal students, including me, participated in this congress. Some activities were also conducted.

As the theme says, we must adapt to our science cultures, which refer to our technologies, and we must use this technologies for the development of our country and probably, our Mother Earth.

AUGUST: BUWAN NG WIKA

Every month of August, we are celebrating "Buwan ng Wika". It signifies the birth of the late president Manuel Luis M. Quezon, and he was known as the "father of our national language", the Filipino language.

The theme for the said celebration was "Wikang Filipino mula Baler Hanggang sa Buong Bansa".What came accross into your mind when you have heard about this? Simply because Manuel Quezon was born in Baler, Aurora on August 19, 1942.

Here in our school, we held some activities during the said celebration. We, the Rizal students participated those different contests. Some contests held was the Sayawit, Sabayang Pagbigkas, Broadcasting, Balagtasan, Tagisan ng Talino and etc. Happy to say that we won from the different contests that we have participated but on the other hand, we did not won on the other contests although we did our very best to become a good performer.

We have enjoyed the said celebration and we are hoping that we will give importance to our Filipino language because it is our national identity.
